These back strap looms are still in use. At the Smithsonian Folklife Festival this last weekend there were Peruvian artisans weaving on these looms right next to the Moroccan women weaving on their own vertical tapestry style looms. fullbloom: (via Ernest Bieler Swiss Painter (1863-1948) ~ Blog of an Art Admirer and History Lover)
